I’ve been involved in standards writing, curriculum and assessment design as well as lesson development and unit planning at the local, state, and national levels. The work below represents a diverse cross-section of the different groups and projects I’ve been involved with over the years.
Contributing writer & editor of the English Language Arts and Literacy Standards.
Created the close reading materials in lesson resources for different texts.
Lead designer of their professional development modules for teachers.
Consulted on the redesign of McGraw-Hill’s Inspire Science curriculum materials.
Helped compose and copy edit multiple close reading lessons and training tools.
Assisted in writing and editing content for the Picturing America project.
Assisted in creating scaffolded ELL lessons as part of a resource guide for NY teachers.
Helped create the Framework for English Language Proficiency Standards.
Consulted on the connections between the C3 Framework and ELA standards.
Led the selection efforts for the Grade 9-12 text sets and helped design the resulting curriculum.
Aided Standards Work in crafting training units for DoE’s Office of Career, Technical, & Adult Education.
Created aligned history lessons using materials from the collection.
Aided in designing the Model Content Frameworks for curriculum builders.
Helped ADP create a series of brochures explaining the role of math in college and career readiness.
Consulted on the links between the NGSS and the CCSS literacy standards.
Assisted in writing the Parent Guides to Student Success for Grades K-8 and HS.
Led a team that created over forty Close Reading Lessons for BPS K-12 Science teachers.
Helped edit and proofread lesson materials used in the sample units of instruction.
